Abstract:
This Prodrome of the Vegetation of the Republic of Moldova comprises 44 alliances, 27 orders from 16 classes. It has been suggested to include of xeromesophilic forests, of Quercus petraea (Matt.) Liebl. (sessile oak) with Tilia tomentosa Moench (silver lime), occurring on hilltops, in a new alliance – Tilio tomentosae-Quercion petraeae Pînzaru et Cantemir all. nova hoc loco, in the order Quercetalia pubescenti-petraeae Klika 1933, class QUERCO-FAGETEA SYLVATICAE Br.-Bl. et Vlieger in Vlieger 1937.
