Abstract:
The number of plant species from the Amaryllidaceae family in Europe is constantly decreasing, requiring the establishment of strict protection measures. To carry out this study, the specialized literature was analyzed and the biomorphological aspects of the species Leucojum aestivum L. from the Amaryllidceae family were investigated. This species is of high interest due to its decorative and medicinal properties. It is included in the Red Book of the Republic of Moldova (3rd edition), with degree of vulnerability: critically endangered. The reproduction rate is low, therefore it requires special protective measures for conservation.
