Mobilizarea și conservarea diversității intraspecifice a Dracilei japoneze (Berberis thunbergii dc.) în cadrul Grădinii Botanice Naționale (Institut) „Alexandru Ciubotaru”

Abstract

The special characters of 8 new taxa of japanese Drachilla are described. The researched introducers, representatives of the species Berberis thunbergii DC., cultivars 'Kobold', 'Erecta', 'Red Pillar', 'Silver Pillar', 'Tiny Gold', 'Maria', 'Green Cloud', 'Red Torch', are resistant to drought, frost, noxious, do not require special care, only pruning and training in compliance with agrotechnical rules for the entire vegetation period. The plant material studied shows a high degree of decorativeness in early spring, through the intense yellow color of the flowers, the abundance of flowering, the density of flowers per 20 cm long stalk, as well as in early summer, autumn through the shade of the foliage, the shape and size of the habitus, fruit size, diverse fruit color (red, light red, purple-red), abundance of fruiting, long flowering period and fruit storage period on the plant.
