Abstract:
The article presents data on the compliance of the school furniture in pre-university education institutions for children’s’ waists, conditions that are imposed by the sanitary-hygienic norms. It was found that students in pre-university educational institutions do not have furniture appropriate to the size of their waists. In the primary school, 100% of the children attest to such a situation, in middle school classes 50%, and in high school 62%. Matching the school furniture to the children’s’ waists is a key factor in maintaining their health. Neglecting it leads to various diseases of the organ systems, such as the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, visual system, but the most affected is the musculoskeletal system.
