dc.description.abstract |
An important role in modern crystal engineering chemistry is played by the analysis of interactions between molecules and ions in crystals, where the relationship between structure and property is primarily studied. Crystal engineering uses the principles of intermolecular interaction in the condition of assembling components into a crystal and using them to design solids with desired physical and chemical properties. In this paper, a brief description of cocrystals is presented, in particular the synthesis and crystal structure of the cocrystal of 2-nitroterephthalic acid (H2ntp) and 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl) ethane (bpe). |
