Abstract:
The development of the research capacity at preschool age is of great importance for the didactic approaches regarding the knowledge, exploration and investigation of the environment. Research is the process of systematic search for new knowledge, an original investigation in order to acquire new scientific knowledge, a study conducted in order to know something. The teaching of "Science" is based on experiment both as a method of scientific investigation and as a method of learning. As a method of training and self-training, the experiment involves activities to challenge, reconstruct and modify some phenomena and processes, in order to study them. The experiment has a special formative value, as it develops to the students the spirit of observation, curiosity, the capacity to understand the essence of objects and phenomena, of processing and interpretation of experimental data, the interest of knowledge, etc. The more intense use of experiments in activities with preschoolers, facilitates the formation of skills, habits, abilities related to their cognitive development (problem situations, causal relationships, associations, correlations) and attitudes in learning (curiosity and interest, initiative, perseverance).
