Abstract:
The present article aims to delve into the process of probing the phenomenon of accepting new DOOM3 benchmarks among students in translation specialties. The large amount of words recently accepted by the Romanian language could create confusion of use and understanding for the general public, being adopted only by the direct users of some group, guilds specialized in their widespread use. Translation students, active speakers of two languages could serve as linguistic „filters‖ for all Romanian speakers in the use of adapted anglicisms.
