dc.description.abstract Self-stigmatization is a barrier to accessing psychological services by people with various psycho emotional problems. The present study aimed to apply the Scale on Self-Stigma Related to the Request for Psychological Help on a group of adolescents (N = 1302, M = .46, SD = .49), aged between 12 and 18 years, with addictive behaviors. The results show that: boys have a higher level of self-stigma than girls; with age, self-stigma does not decrease; addictive behaviors correlate positively with the perception of the negative affect of self-esteem following the request for psychological help and negatively with the positive influence on self-esteem en_US
