Abstract:
This article analyzes how the general newspapers „Timpul‖, „Jurnal de Chişinău‖, „Ziarul de Gardă‖ and the Russian press deal with the moral values. The material shows that the media in Chisinau analyzes morals through politics, crimes and scandals. There are concrete examples of the theme and language used. The conclusion is that the national press says being moral means being pro-European and patriotic, and the Russian press shows that being moral means being Christian and traditionalist. The investigative papers radiograph the concrete vices of the Moldovan society in transition.
