dc.description.abstract |
The article addresses the issue of the media, which is a major player in
everyday life, especially in political life. It is varied and achieves various
objectives. In addition to informing, delighting citizens, media resources
influence major decisions, determine the work agenda of the politician, but
also reflect the activity of government. The media can play the role of lawyer,
prosecutor, but also as a manipulator. The citizen has the right to infor mation. But in order to become a responsible, conscious receiver and to
combat manipulation, he must inform himself from various sources, check
and critically analyze the information, form his own opinion about the world.
A considerable role in reducing the misleading of the citizen can be played by
state institutions, educational institutions and compliance with the legis lative framework. |
