Abstract:
The New Ukrainian School is supposed to be updated through the content of
education aimed at forming key life competencies, creating a modern
educational space with the necessary conditions, means and technologies for
teaching and developing all subjects of pedagogical interaction, the key role
in which belongs to a motivated, creative and professionally competent
teacher.
The culturological potential of the educational branch Natural Sciences
involves the formation of environmental literacy as an element of the culture
of an educated person, the development of life-supporting skills for a healthy
lifestyle, the ability to solve environmental problems, as well as human and
society safety.
In this regard, the range of requirements for the modern teacher of Natural
Sciences has expanded significantly. At present, the teacher’s personality is
moving into the center of attention, his culture as a professionally important
quality, a wide range of subject competency, consistent with value and
semantic attitudes.
