Abstract:
This article will describe the sequences of the funeral ritual that are currently
found in the village of Mireşti, Hînceşti district. The aim of the research is to
understand better the traditions and spiritual manifestations of the
traditional man, his relationship with his environment at a crucial time in
life, analyzing different rites, we could see what are the traditional folk beliefs
about death. In this given locality there are still conservative characteristics,
the locals managed to keep most of their customs as they were practiced by
their ancestors. It must be specified, however, that this locality also gradually
loses its customs, as an effect of globalization, so I consider it important to
capture and record these customs and traditions before their disappearance.
