К проблеме постановки логопедической работы в Республике Армении

Abstract

The work presents statistical data revealing the rate of individuals with speech disorders in the country. Speech function is discussed and its connection with other higher mental functions. The analysis of peculiarities and difficulties in mastering the native speech in children with developmental disorders showed that communication issues differ significantly from each other in individuals with such conditions as mental developmental disorders, cerebral palsy, hearing impairment, visual impairment, emotional disorders, and require a specific system of intervention methods. The ways of further development of the speech therapy services in the Republic of Armenia are presented.
