Abstract:
The national curriculum for primary and secondary education in the Republic of Moldova
focuses on the formation of key competencies. History plays a priority role in creating a conception of life
and identity of students, it must educate students in a peaceful, tolerant spirit without generating conflict.
History curricula in Romania are operational documents for the teacher, including the objectives and
actual contents of learning in this subject. We appreciate the evolutionary path taken by historians on
both banks of the Prut to support, promote and teach a real history, a history in which values are at the
top of the pyramid and students have the opportunity to know the past through objective content. I do not
want to say in part that one or the other school program is better, because both find their role and the
right place in the educational sphere. The curriculum in the Republic of Moldova is more clearly
structured on classes, historical epochs and teaching space and the school curriculum in Romania offers
students a more concentrated aspect of historical plasma focusing on quality not quantity.
