Abstract:
In his philosophical thoughts, the Romanian thinker, philosopher and esthetician Tudor Vianu
pays special attention to the systematization and argumentation of the concepts of culture and value.
Rigorous research of values allows the philosopher to develop a topography of the axiological universe,
thus establishing eight types of values: economic, vital, legal, political, theoretical, aesthetic, moral and
religious. Each value can be defined by its differentiating characters, by the specific aspirations it
satisfies and by its distinct finality.
