dc.description.abstract This article is the first to study the Moldovan diaspora in Belarus, the features of its formation, the importance of ethnic and civic identities for Moldovans in Belarus. The study was carried out on the basis of the author's field materials collected from the Moldovans of Belarus in 2021. Particular attention is paid to how the Moldovans of Belarus define for themselves the concept of «homeland»? Based on the information contained in the in-depth interviews, it is concluded that Moldovans living in Belarus are fully adapted, regardless of the time of their move. It is noted that, thanks to the national policy pursued by the Republic of Belarus, the ethnic groups living in this country have formed a positive civic identity. The experience of Belarus in this area can serve as a good example for other multi-ethnic states. en_US
