Petre V. Ștefănucă – un etnograf și folclorist meritoriu

Abstract

The article describes the biography of Petre V. Ștefănucă, a notorious personality of our culture. It is briefly analysed his scientific and literary activity. It is noted the fact that Petre V. Ștefănucă became an eminent researcher in the area of etnography and folklore, conducting monographic field studies. He was also involved in the activities carried out by Romanian Social Institute in Bessarabia, he was editorial board member of Besssarabia Life magazine, publishing in it numerous materials. The article underlines Petre V. Ștefănucă’s contribution to the development of cultural life in Bessarabia during interwar period.
