Abstract

To preserve cultural heritage it is necessary to observe the legislation in the field of regulation of museum activity. Museum activity in Ukraine is regulated by the legal framework, which includes laws and by-laws: decrees and orders the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, instructions, regulations of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, etc. In our article we will consider the main normative documents in the sphere of museum activity, define the legal, economic, social basis of creation and activity of museums of Ukraine, we will pay attention to the features of scientific formation, study, accounting, storage, protection and use of the museum fund of Ukraine.
