Aspecte istorico-folclorice și epistolare privind serviciul militar al basarabenilor și participarea lor la diverse conflagrații (secolul XIX – prima jumătate a secolului al XX-lea)

Abstract

In this approach are studied, from a historical-folkloric and epistolary aspect, the employment of Bessarabians in military service and their participation in various conflagrations, such as: the Russo- Japanese War, the First World War, the Second World War. Special attention is paid to the research of this phenomenon in the localities within the Cultural-Natural Reserve "Orheiul Vechi". As a consequence, combining the study of written sources with oral and epistolary ones, we were able to decipher and fully understand the moods of the Bessarabians who were enlisted in the armed forces and fought on various fronts (19th century - first half of the 20th century).
