Abstract:
The concept of competence lies beneath all policies in all the fields, being the strength that determines performance, efficiency and competitiveness in a society. Every teacher has the duty to adapt to the requirements and progress of society, through continuous professional training and active lifelong learning, in order to have the professional competence to train their students in such a way that they too in turn, will adapt to the demands of a society the is in constant change and transformation.
In a world where communication is the fundamental connection to society, the teacher objectives are to train their students this communication skill, and the emphasis must be placed primarily on practicing a key component of communication which is active listening, both from the perspective of the teacher and the student, as this component is a good facilitator of learning.
