Abstract:
Emotional intelligence is an integral part of developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships, which are responsible for the physical and mental health of the individual. The ability to establish good, efficient relationships, for which emotional intelligence is responsible, becomes a priority in the context of change in modern society, where we witness a restructuring of the family, social and educational framework. This article presents the results of an experimental study conducted on 90 adolescents. In the context of social change, marked by technological progress and social development, it is absolutely necessary to develop personalities with a high level of emotional intelligence, able to cope with their own emotions, but also to understand the emotions of others.
