Abstract:
The article emphasizes, through a holistic approach of portofolios, the impact upon students’ competence of learning how to learn a foreign language.The definitions of the key-words clarifies the usefulness for educational purposes.It insists on the numerous advantages in using the portfolio during the educational process.The disadvantages of using the portfolio and how to overcome them are also explained. The theoretical and practical examples highlight the formative feature. The conclusions identify the article’s importance in using the portfolio as a means of self-evaluation and training for life-long learning.
