Abstract:
This article substantiates the importance of mastering monological speech, "the basics of text formation", and expanding the boundaries of a literary text. The concepts of "dialogism", "carnival beginning", "polyphony of music, words and visual series" are considered in the study of the epic novel "War and Peace" by Lev Tolstoy. It is noted that the polyphony according to M.M. Bakhtin is addressed to the potential reader and promotes "the relationship between the literary text and the reader", the dialogue of cultures. It is argued that the formation of a student's communicative competence is an impulse for the development of spiritual and intercultural values of the individual. The content of the stages of working with the text, which contributes to the formation of national and cultural identity, is revealed.
