Abstract:
As a cultural model, postmodernism in the context of art education promotes a new way of understanding the relationship between knowledge and experience, between theory and practice at the level of human action. Postmodernism records a rupture with modernism that tended to treat separately these two basic elements of the human means of expression, but also a continuity between these elements, because achieving a synthesis between theory and practice requires a greater deepening and mastery. Postmodernity caused a profound dissolution of social structures, axiological landmarks than the one caused by the modern era, which meant a release of societies from the suffocating frameworks of the medieval world.
