Abstract:
Eleonora Romanescu, a personality placed on the pedestal of those who have left a mark on the history of our country and far beyond. A faithful "singer" of the beauty of Bessarabian landscapes, which occupy the main place in her creation. This painter is a real poet of chromatics. She was an outstanding artist and a connoisseur of Bessarabian traditions, as well as an exceptional performer of romances and old Romanian songs. Our emerald hills and picturesque villages, primeval forest edges, besides a series of rural architectures and churches, appear on Eleonora Romanescu's canvases. This is how the love for the homeland, for Moldova, for its people, lives in the soul of this great artist. After contemplating her masterpieces, one can easily realize that although the content of the paintings has its roots in reality, it has got a universe in itself, by transfiguration according to the sensitivity and originality of the painter.
Eleonora Romanescu's descendants inherited a valuable lesson of dedication through creation, a lesson of love for nature and the people of this land.
