Abstract:
The aim of this research was to highlight the difficulties faced by people with mental health problems and to identify the social services needed to support them. Our research took place in the Community Center for Mental Health district Buiucani in Chisinau. The subjects of the research are 20 beneficiaries of this Center: 15 women and 5 men aged between 18 and 65 and 10 specialists. We found that people with mental health problems face community rejection of them, which is the biggest difficulty and produces stigma and social isolation. The social services addressed to people with mental health problems in the Republic of Moldova are: Community Mental Health Center, “Mobile Team” Service, “Protected Housing” Service, “Community House” .
