dc.description.abstract In this article are addressed various issues related to the project method as an effective way of training professional competence. The project method is an instructional strategy, focused on learning, which conssits not only involving students in the process of assimilating knowledge, expressing and supporting views, but also maintaining the teacher as a mentor, a guide to this approach. The entire activity process is described, starting from the formation of working groups, determining research problems, establishing evaluation criteria to the actual presentation and evaluation of the final product. Also, the role of this way of learning in the formation of students professional competence is highlighted. en_US
