Rolul factorului extern în menținerea confruntărilor politice interne în Țara Moldovei la mijlocul secolului al XVI-lea

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to determine the external factors that contributed to maintaining the internal political conflicts in the Principality of Moldavia in the middle of the 16th century. Medieval sources prove that during that period the internal political life in Moldavia was influenced by external factors depending on the political interests of neighboring states. Domestic political confrontations in Moldavia were influenced by the Polish-Ottoman political confrontations for supremacy in the area. The study demonstrates the prevalence of the external factors in provoking and maintaining political confrontations in order to divide and destroy the political elite in the Principality of Moldavia in the middle of the 16th century. Accepting external support in order to gain power and maintain governance has led to the elimination of some attributes of state sovereignty.
