Faţa şi reversul cuvântului în Racconti romani de Alberto Moravia

Abstract

The present study aims at elucidating a series of aspects of the stylistics of neorealism in the collection of stories Racconti romani by the prose writer Alberto Moravia. Beyond the dry, sober, seemingly superficial style of the stories, beyond the immediate and discreet narration, the prose writer's word is often imposed by its "reverse", it is shown to be available for multiple interpretations, fertile ground for "intellectual complicity" with the reader. The prose writer's logos evoke implicit comments, ironies, double interpretations, discreet allegories, sarcasm or playful strategies, reversals of expectations.
