dc.description.abstract The author considers the problems of the formation of social and healthpreserving competencies of elementary schoolchildren in the conditions of the new Ukrainian school. It is proved that the values of health, the sense of responsibility for maintaining and strengthening their health, deepening knowledge of skills of primary school students is realized through the physical, social, mental, spiritual health components. In particular, the author examined in detail the implementation of each component of health in the educational process of the new Ukrainian school. The analysis of scientific and pedagogical research to determine effective ways of forming a healthy lifestyle of younger students has been carried out. en_US
