Abstract:
The article discusses one of the most significant issues in the early childhood development, namely, the formation and evolution of speech, taken generally, and the culture of speech, in particularly. The author presents a theoretical background on the notions of speech, culture, speech culture etc. Some aspects of oral language (sound culture, grammatical correctness) are briefly characterized, being the pieces which require hard efforts and engagements to form and develop the culture of speech in preschoolers. A number of methodological procedures and activities of working to form the culture of speech competence in preschoolers are presented for the didactic staff.
