dc.description.abstract The article presents pedagogical and scientific biography highlights of the Professor Vladimir Potlog, the longest living university teaching staff member from Moldova: he taught students at universities from 1953 to 2011. Considered a "consummate teacher" he was highly appreciated by generations of disciples, some of them being heads of state, prime ministers, ministers, ambassadors, scien-tists, academicians and teaching staff. He is considered to be a model of teacher, scientist, man who faced difficult times, thanks to native and professional quali-ties. en_US
