Abstract:
Galuşcenco Serghei Ivanovici was born on November 6, 1914, in the Li-peţcoie village, Kotovsk rayon, Odessa region, being of Moldovan nationality. He was a member of a large and needy family of peasants.
He studied primary education in his native town, then he studied secon-dary education in the Kotovsk town. In the summer of 1934 he enrolled at the Pe-dagogical Institute from Tiraspol, at the Faculty of History. He graduated his stu-dies in 1938, with a diploma of mention. Due to certain circumstances in 1939 he was recalled from the post- graduate studentship to teach Modern History at the State Pedagogical Institute from Tiraspol. In this year he starts his career as a university professor of Mr. Galuşenco, that will last about 41 years with some in-terruptions. In all these years, he taught only in Moldovan language (Romanian). From December 1940 to August 1944 he performed his military service as an or-dinary soldier, and then as a lower commander of the 11th Prisoner Division in the Narva, Leningrad Front town. In the period of August-October 1944 he is ap-pointed as an Inspector of the Political Direction of the Ukrainian Front II, the General Staff Office, Department No. 7, Directorate 3 (Soviet Socialist Republic of Moldova and Romania).
