Abstract:
The study explores the activity of the doctor in history, the researcher and the university professor Diana Dumitru. Highly intelligent, with a developed critical sense, and endowed with a range of general strengths such as responsi-bility, organizational skills, honesty, and other abilities specific to the field: ana-lytical skills, the ability to design a project and to carry it out etc, allowed Diana Dumitru to achieve impressive results in her professional career. In her teaching and research she focuses on issues related to the Holocaust in Eastern Europe and inter-ethnic relations in this geographic area before, during, and after WWII. She was awarded important scholarships by prestigious university and scientific centers in Germany, Austria, the USA, Israel, Romania, and Poland among others. Dr. Dumitru is the author of two monographs and numerous ar-ticles in international peer-reviewed journals, national publications, and edited volumes. In 2012, the American Political Science Association awarded her the Mary Parker Follett Prize for best article in the field of political science and the history. Currently, Diana Dumitru is a member of the editorial board of inter-national and national scientific journals.
