Abstract:
On 29th of December, 2014, Nichita Chiricenco would have turned one hundred years. He was a personality who devoted his entire life to the young gen-eration education. It’s a personality with a special destiny, a destiny of Transnis-trian specific elementary education, born in the village Stroiesti (Kamenka). Chiricenco N. comes from a poor peasant family. At age of 15 he finished the pri-mary school in his native village and at 18-Podoimita school, after another half year finished the Balta special classes. After graduation, he imeddiately began work in middle school Husca, as a pioneer instructor. Certainly, the prospect of being only a pioneer instructor did not satisfied his professional trends. Thus, in 1934, he attends preparatory courses at the Pedagogical Institute of Tiraspol, where was registered and further did his studies and in 1939 graduates from the Faculty of History. Immediately after graduating from the History Faculty of the Pedagogical Institute of Tiraspol, he became a lecturer at Alma Mater, then being appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of History at the Pedagogical Institute in Chi-sinau, where he served during the years 1940-1941. During 1960-1967, Nichita Chiricenco was banned from teaching at universities, being declared as a nationalist element. After the reestablishment at the Department of History, Nichita Chiricenco is appointed as the Chancellor of the University, where he fulfilled his duties in the period 1967-1973.
