Abstract:
Today, in the context of globalization, the promotion of
cultural identity is a priority strategy of our country, and the
Romanian identity can only remain alive by preserving the cultural
heritage. In addition to popular creations (doines, ballads, fairytales
and legends, proverbs and sayings or poems), the traditional
Romanian culture also includes craftsmanship, ceramics, wooden
objects, fabrics, embroidery and, last but not least, a part of
UNESCO heritage. The carpet, thanks to its many functions and
meanings, to the level of artistic and millennial continuity, completes
the cultural matrix of our people.
