Abstract:
The Romanian painting of the modern period develops in accordance with the European artistic trends. One of the Romanian painters who practiced an impressionist painting is Ion Andreescu. Ion Andreescu's creation has a realistic character and it’s based on topics with "solitary" landscapes, still life, portraits. The appearance of his paintings is sober, "melancholic" but also rich in colorful nuances.
