Abstract:
Symbolism was an artistic and literary movement at the end of the nineteenth century in France, opposed to romanticism, naturalism, and parnasism, and according to which the value of each object and phenomenon in the surrounding world can be expressed and deciphered with the help of symbols. Also by symbolism is meant the way of expression, manifestation, proper to this current.
