Abstract:
The Red Rooster Tale by Vasile Vasilache which appeared in 1966 is one of the most outstanding and original novels ever published in Bessarabia. Among the peculiarities that make this literary work still have so much success and be so much re-read by different critics a special place occupies its subversive character that involves indirect forms of expression such as suggestion, allegory, symbol, parable and the direct form – the carnivalesque, setting up an unusual show of the upside down world.
