Abstract

In Mathematics lessons, a component of mathematical competence called calculation ability is developed which takes into account the following aspects: the correct, rational and fluent performance of arithmetical calculations, the presentation of the solution or the method applied in the case of a problem solving, the argumentation choosing a method. Computational capacity is a system of functional and operational features in a union with the skills, knowledge and experience required to apply and optimize the computational processes that generate a fair, rational and fluent calculation.
