Abstract:
There are three stages in the development of international migration policies: 1. Non-Registered Migration Policies for economic purposes, regardless of the professional qualifications of the migrant (1945-1976); 2. Regulated migration policies, irrespective of migrant worker qualification (1977-2007); 3. Regulated Migration Policies of the Highly Qualified Migrant Worker (2008 to present).
Migration policies in the Republic of Moldova developed when the state declared itself independent (27 August 1991) after the collapse of the USSR. Policies to support migrants in the Republic of Moldova are influenced by international migration policies.
