Abstract:
The article examines the leftist doctrine, the Feminism, which was constituted in the XIX century and represents a combination of the values promoted by humanism, liberalism and socialism. The themes approached by the feminist doctrine are varied, but the main themes which remain to be current are: the women’s emancipation, the redefinition of gender equality, the fight for economic and political rights, the advocating for government programs to improve the condition of women in society, the combating of patriarchal stereotypes. The feminism continues to manifest itself in many movements: the liberal, Marxist, radical feminism etc. The role of the doctrine is that they managed to obtain some successes, such as raising awareness about women’ s issue, getting the legislative framework in low status.
