Abstract:
The need for increasing the therapeutic aspect of philosophy has become an imperative of our time. They have multiplied the appeals addressed to the philosophy to abandon the metaphysical and epistemological investigations far from the people's common life problems. R.Rorty is an American philosopher, a representative of the later pragmatism who responds to these requirements. There is a hard criticism of traditional philosophy, rebuilding its cognitive, conceptual and methodological functions and reducing it only to the therapeutic aspect: the philosophy must be concerned only with the issues of the individual building and of the solidarity, of a social consensus.
