Simbolul copacului în poezia lui Dumitru Matcovschi

Abstract

In the poetry of Dumitru Matcovschi there is a tendency to assimilate folkloric and mythical elements. The poet uses the mythical symbols, setting up an ethical and aesthetic program. The symbol of the tree is part of the matcovschian specific topos and its imagery with native nuances. In its creation, the entire synonymous series of the lexeme tree and different species of trees: walnut, oak, lime etc., thus creating a tree cult. From the prism of the tree symbol, are also used other leitmotifs of the poet's creation: sorrow, memory, race, home. The tree symbolizes the entire spectrum of spiritual values.
