dc.description.abstract This article tends to provide answers to the questions Where are the origins of this method? Where does it come from? How was it implemented in different ages? What was the basic concept? The historical development begins with the antiquity, with the big philosophers and their quotations. Afterwards an attestation from the middle age is given. Further on, in the chronological research, attention is given to the revolutionary stage. An important aspect refers to the classical pedagogy with it numerous attestations. Finally, there are given examples from the New Education. The article ends with examples from the 20th century. en_US
