Abstract:
In this study we analyze academic careers (of professors) in Moldova. Educating new generations is critical for the prosperity of the state, the society and its own existence. Therefore we need to understand better academic careers of professors in Moldova since their contribution will influence the education of new generations. That understanding is related to the definition of the place and of the importance of biographical research that topic historiography. The purpose of this article is to present a diachronic analysis of two biographies of professors, who were formed on the Soviet period. The academic careers of professors is positioned in a specific historical context which highlights the different stages of academic careers that we will explore.
