Geography, together with other disciplines, allows the development of many attitudes, capabilities and skills. Approaches and geographical procurement can serve, through transfer, to other fields of knowledge and action, for example: to know how to collect information, to know how to identify a problem, knowing to relate phenomena, to know how to measure the impact, etc. In addition, geography facilitates learning very useful techniques, such as: reading photographs, building a chart, using a computer program. Therefore, in accordance with the latest updated Curriculum, geography is no longer an object for knowledge accumulation, but one in which students can, and should be guided by several key principles: the ability to situate places and facts, not just on the map, but in their environment and at different scales, in order to know how to capture the spatial dimensions; understanding and explaining the dynamics and change etc. Practical applications are a teaching activity to develop skills and practical skills to students, as a creative activity, which operates theoretical knowledge, and leads fundamental knowledge into the functional turns. Educational experience shows that the lessons of practical application in the educational process acquire significant pedagogical functions, ensuring active participation of students in activities, increasing interest and knowledge to the contents that are proposed to learning |
