Abstract:
Natural heritage of Văleni includes a variety of elements, which by their specific unique features of the landscape of the locality. Valeni is located in southern Bessarabia, where several meanders and Prut forms the western boundary is hills and plains in a harmonious range that combines the old lake Beleu. Some elements of the natural heritage of the village Văleni are protected by law: geological and paleontological Natural Monument outcrop near the village Văleni scientific reserve "Lower Prut". Geological and paleontological Monument outcrop near the village Văleni is located 0.5 km south of s. Văleni, Cahul, on the left side of the valley r. Prut. Its surface has 3 ha, and the height is 30 to 90 m. Lake Beleu has a length of about 6 km, a width of 5.5 km, the average water depth of 3 meters. Sometimes, during the outpouring Prut, lake depth reaches 5-6 meters, but in the months of drought, the water level drops significantly, sometimes even appear islands.
