Abstract:
The subject of this study is aimed at examining the new theoretical concepts that exist in contemporary historiography. These concepts are related to the historical content that history students examine at the high school level. The study presents the main concepts of approaching historical information applied in contemporary didactic discourse. At the same time, it aims to demonstrate the difficulties in dealing with controversial issues that arise in teaching history in contemporary schools. The research generalizes the research that is on this subject in contemporary historiography. At the same time, it seeks to identify the themes, the controversial topics in history that are studied in contemporary schools with some methodological suggestions.
