Abstract:
The present work is intended to be a useful tool for geography teachers and students, for didactic and methodological-scientific purposes for studying the climate, vegetation, fauna and soils of the Siret Corridor area between Pașcani and Focșani, Romania. Depending on certain characteristics, there is a wide variety of images and videos that can be used for specific objectives in the geography lesson. In the didactic activity, photographs and videos are frequently used to observe components of the geographical environment, of the landscape, or to exemplify phenomena or processes. In the analysis and interpretation of video and photographic materials to analyze climatic and biopedogeographic aspects of the Siret Corridor area, several skills are needed, such as photo identification, the angle of the photo (aerial, landscape, terrain) analysis of elements in the photo, as well as the quantitative and qualitative specifications of the elements in the image. The Siret Corridor offers a variety of impressive physical and geographical elements that can be captured with a camera, then shown to students in geography classes, to analyze and study, both in the Geography of Romania and in Environmental Geography - Fundamental Issues.
